HISTORY

CEAR was established in 1983 and registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in 2021. The Centre conducts training programs on econometric techniques aimed at capacity development and renders consultancy services for academics, private sector, national, regional and international institutions including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), West African Institute of Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), Ford Foundation, Rockefeller foundation, United Nations International Children Emergency Funds (UNICEF), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the World Bank. According to the latest ranking of research institutions by Ideas/RePEc, the Centre is the best research institution in Nigeria and among the top 1% in Africa.
